Christmas is right around the corner and I can't believe I have all my Christmas shopping done. This is already a stress free Christmas. I have never been pregnant during Christmas and I must say it will be very interesting trying to get up and down off the floor with the boys. It is going to be so much fun!

We got our Christmas tree out after Thanksgiving and I think it looks pretty good this year!

Today, tomorrow, and always...

I am 7 1/2 weeks away from giving birth to my first little girl. Brian and I are getting so exctided for her to come and so are the boys. I keep thinking about when I first had Josh and with each child has its own excitement. I know thanks giving is over but I am still thankful for my children and their father who takes care of all of us. Be thankful today, tomorrow, and always.

This morning I was reading Psalm 146 and came across this:
8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind.
The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down.
The LORD loves the godly.

Reading this means alot to me right now. There are things that I say I am believing God for butam I really believing? My trust should fully and confidently be in him. HE is there for me when I need him. I look to him for everything I need. At the end of the chapter it says "The LORD will reign forever." He and only he will be there for me in a time of need. Believe that he is there and walk in faith knowing what his word says about you for you. Reading his word is a daily reminder of what he wants to do for us and what he has already done.

Random thought...

Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. Proverbs 20:14
Lately I have been really loving sleep because of being pregnant. As I read and thought more on this verse I began to think we not only can use this scripture in the physical aspect of our lives but we can use it in our spiritual lives. Just because I am physically sleepy doesn't mean I have to be spiritually sleepy. I have been using other ways to get the word whether that be listening to online messages or reading a quick chapter in Proverbs. :)

Look for ways to stay connected to the word and you will benefit from it. Don't allow cracks to form in your foundation and make it easy for the things of this world to come in. In the end you will enjoy the end result of staying satisfied in the word which in return will roll over into your spiritual life. Try it out and see it work for you.

A couple of weeks ago we took the boys to a farm. There is a lady I worked with who invited us to her home to let the boys feed the animals and have fun on their property. Josh and Joe were able to feed chickens and the horses. They also threw rocks in the pond and went fishing! Josh caught his first fish! He was so excited to see that little fish on his line. The first thing he said was "can we eat it"! We all started to laugh at how smart he was. Needless to say we did not eat the fish but Michell told him when we came back and caught alot of fish and had more time maybe we would. That really made Joshua's day as well as Brian and me. Below is a quick clip of his fishing adventure!

Today I have been reading Psalms and I came across this verse in Psalms 138
8 The LORD will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me. NLT

There might be things going on in your life that you need to know God's plan in this situation. Just remember that he will work out his plan in your life. Just keep in faith and trust in God. He knows what is going on and has never left you. Sometimes we can focus on the things we don't like that go on in our lives instead of the god things going on. Focus on the light and not the dark corner in your life. Pray and meditate on the word of God and that dark corner will get light. Think up and not down. You can make it through whatever is going on.

"Only God can send the rain but only you can dig a ditch." Steven Furtick

I was listening to Steven Furtick this morning. He was speaking at Faith Church St. Louis. God can make a way for us but we have to do the work. Today it is simple you have to do for God to do in your life. As you go through the day keep that in mind and keep God on your mind in all you do.

Don't get out of control

It is September and I have decided to make this month the month that I don't get out of control. I want to be able to be calm about things and enjoy life. I have a lot going on in my life right now between balancing home, work, and school. I think this would be a great start into fall.

We had a great weekend my parents came to visit and it was a joy to see them. My Dad, Brian, and Joshua went to the Mizzou football game on Saturday and had a great time minus the heat. Sunday started the week off great with wonderful weather.

This weekend I hope to get things decorated for fall and have picture on here later. I love decorating it just hasn't been high on the priority list.

I leave you today with 1 Timothy 1:16, But I obtained mercy for the reason that in me, as the foremost [of sinners], Jesus Christ might show forth and display all His perfect long-suffering and patience for an example to [encourage] those who would thereafter believe on Him for [the gaining of] eternal life. Amplified. I am encourage that Jesus is there for me to help me stay in control of this life he has given me.

Looking back...

So today I have been watching the Mother's Day video Brian made for me for Mother's Day. I guess Father's Day really put me in the mood.

Speaking of Father's Day, we got Brian and engraved bracelet that says " Brian Jackson, We love you.". So far he loves and really appreciates it. He also decided to get handy and installed 2 light fixtures over the weekend. I am very proud of Brian and look forward to more Father's Days with him.

We also had our Anniversary. Celebrating 5 years! It is SO exciting!!! We really didn't do anything, but in July when I am off we are going to get away for a few nights. I am looking forward to vacation!

My Soul Sings

My husband found this song on you tube toady. Let me just say that I felt the power of God in this song. I will be still and know you are God is my favorite part of the song. Sometimes we forget to stop and be still and listen to the voice of God. Take time today and listen.

Today we visited Bethel Park here in Columbia, MO. The boys played so hard. We played a little kickball. It was such a nice day. I remember just looking at the lake, trees, geese, and all of natures beauty and thinking to myself my God created this. I love everything God has made. His attention to detail is so amazing. He made me and my family and is apart of our lives. I just wanted to end the day with the thought of how much God loves me and beautiful he thinks I am.

Sunday Service

Today at church Pastor Mark was speaking about Hearing the voice of God. It was really intriguing. :) You know there are a lot of people that don't go to church because of whatever reason, but the fact of the matter is church is a way to learn more about bettering your life. Don't get me wrong I want to better my life for the kingdom of God, but if more people went to church just to better their life I believe they will gain the love of bettering their life for something else and that something else is for God. The bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. If you are in a place that really teaches the word of God I believe your heart can be changed and your life will never be the same.

Mother's Day

So Mother's Day was just this past Sunday and I had an amazing time with my family. Brian made his oh so famous Mother's Day video for me. Here is the link to it He has made these for me for 4 years!!! I enjoy going back and watching how my little men have grown up and how I really miss them as little babies. Brian usually tells me to stop because I get all I want another baby on him. I love being a Mother and enjoy seeing how my family sees me. I always pray that I would be the Proverbs mother to them and teach them how to be men of God. I can't help but to constantly thank my mother the sacrifices she made for me and how much she showed me love in spite of everything else going on around us. Thank you mother for being a Proverbs mother to me! I love you!

He loves you...

I have been really drawn to the song by Jesus Culture titles "How he loves us" you can listen to it here: I have been praying in tongues everyday for about 2 weeks now and I don't want to stop. It's amazing what a difference it makes when we take the time to stop and think and enter in the presence of God! I have had my eyes opened to things good and bad in my life. Changes I need to make. It's not fun to find out your not always right but it is good to know hey I can change because Christ is in me. So take the time today to stop and listen to this song and go deeper in the things of God, because once you go there you will never be the same!!! Thanks Kim Walker!!!

Last week...

So it has been a busy last couple of weeks. So first classes started up for me so I have been busy studying and taking quizzes!!! I think I am getting in the grove of adding it to my schedule. So after the start of classes I had Spring Break which was last week. We had a lot of fun! First we traveled to Branson, MO and spent the night there and the next day did some shopping (my favorite)!!! After that we headed to North Little Rock,AR to see my family. We had a wonderful time. We went to the park twice while we were there and I went to some of the shops that are there that we don't have in Columbia. We left on Tuesday and head back home. We also had picture day on Friday. I can't wait to get them back (will post as soon as I get them)!!! The Aunt and Rita joined us for pictures. Look for a special surprise being held by Joseph in some of the pictures. He was a champ in the beginning, but soon wanted to enjoy the nice weather. If was a fun and exciting week and can't wait for Summer Break!!!

March 9th

So today I start classes at MACC and I am so excited, but at the same time nervous. I found myself constantly thinking about how well I will do and what about this or that. We all do it in one area or another. We allow the power of fear determine our outcome instead of allowing Jesus to be our guide. Part of Hebrews 12:1 and 2 says: And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. NLT. If I keep my eyes set on him and run with endurance I will finish this race. It does me no good to focus on what is and what will be if it isn't on what God's word says for my life.
Today I look to Christ to guide me and show the things I need to do to study right and all the many other things I have to keep up with. There’s an old hymn that says turn your eyes upon Jesus, this is what we all should do today. If you feel overwhelmed stop for a second take and breathe and remember who's watching out for you.

Monday is Valentines Day and I am excited to spend it with my family. Who is your Valentine this year? Mine? My husband Brian of course, but also my Children. You know who else is my Valentine? Jesus, he saved me, delivered me, and is there for me in more than one way.
1 John 4:16 says: And so we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Those who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.(NCV)
Remember God loves us no matter what. If you think you don't have a Valentine this year, think again, you have Christ!

Hearing God's Voice

I like to read daily confessions to my children. I really enjoy reading this little book I found call Scripture Confessions for Moms. It is so little I can take it anywhere with me. (You can get a copy here:

It is never to late to speak great confessions over your children's lives. I think everyday I see my boys grow stronger and stronger in knowledge of the word and of the things of life. In Romans 10:17 it says "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. I am a firm believer that if I can build up my children's faith they can accomplish anything they set their minds to and anything they hear the voice of God speaking to them to do. So today I say that my boys hear the voice of God and are quick to respond to what is right.

So this is my first official snow day here in Columbia, MO. I used to have to work on snow days now being in my new position with Columbia Public Schools I don't have to work on snow days. Needless to say I am very excited. We already went outside this morning and it was very cold, but I enjoyed being out in it. Josh thought it was great even though it really isn't good snowman making snow. :( Any who I don't have much planned for the day, but I know we will have fun. Jo is napping right now and Josh is trying to get some chips. Oh what a life. Oh by the way we learned a lesson today always have extra mittens on hand. :)

For the sake of my family and friends, I will say,“May you have peace.” Ps. 122:8
This is a scripture that I read today. Everyday I say a special prayer for my family or whoever may be on my heart, but when I pray I always remember to pray for peace. Peace is such an important part of our lives. Peace helps us understand our children, it helps us focus at work, it helps us in everything we do. It says in Colossians 3:15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Living in peace causes your heart to be in complete ease. Put all of your worries and cares on the one who cares for you. So today remeber in everything to keep peace in your heart no matter what is going on around you.
