Hearing God's Voice

I like to read daily confessions to my children. I really enjoy reading this little book I found call Scripture Confessions for Moms. It is so little I can take it anywhere with me. (You can get a copy here: http://www.amazon.com/Scripture-Confessions-Moms-Harrison-House/dp/1577946529/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1295364996&sr=8-1)

It is never to late to speak great confessions over your children's lives. I think everyday I see my boys grow stronger and stronger in knowledge of the word and of the things of life. In Romans 10:17 it says "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. I am a firm believer that if I can build up my children's faith they can accomplish anything they set their minds to and anything they hear the voice of God speaking to them to do. So today I say that my boys hear the voice of God and are quick to respond to what is right.

SNOW DAY!!!

So this is my first official snow day here in Columbia, MO. I used to have to work on snow days now being in my new position with Columbia Public Schools I don't have to work on snow days. Needless to say I am very excited. We already went outside this morning and it was very cold, but I enjoyed being out in it. Josh thought it was great even though it really isn't good snowman making snow. :( Any who I don't have much planned for the day, but I know we will have fun. Jo is napping right now and Josh is trying to get some chips. Oh what a life. Oh by the way we learned a lesson today always have extra mittens on hand. :)

Peace

For the sake of my family and friends, I will say,“May you have peace.” Ps. 122:8
This is a scripture that I read today. Everyday I say a special prayer for my family or whoever may be on my heart, but when I pray I always remember to pray for peace. Peace is such an important part of our lives. Peace helps us understand our children, it helps us focus at work, it helps us in everything we do. It says in Colossians 3:15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Living in peace causes your heart to be in complete ease. Put all of your worries and cares on the one who cares for you. So today remeber in everything to keep peace in your heart no matter what is going on around you.
