Random thought...

Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. Proverbs 20:14
Lately I have been really loving sleep because of being pregnant. As I read and thought more on this verse I began to think we not only can use this scripture in the physical aspect of our lives but we can use it in our spiritual lives. Just because I am physically sleepy doesn't mean I have to be spiritually sleepy. I have been using other ways to get the word whether that be listening to online messages or reading a quick chapter in Proverbs. :)

Look for ways to stay connected to the word and you will benefit from it. Don't allow cracks to form in your foundation and make it easy for the things of this world to come in. In the end you will enjoy the end result of staying satisfied in the word which in return will roll over into your spiritual life. Try it out and see it work for you.

A couple of weeks ago we took the boys to a farm. There is a lady I worked with who invited us to her home to let the boys feed the animals and have fun on their property. Josh and Joe were able to feed chickens and the horses. They also threw rocks in the pond and went fishing! Josh caught his first fish! He was so excited to see that little fish on his line. The first thing he said was "can we eat it"! We all started to laugh at how smart he was. Needless to say we did not eat the fish but Michell told him when we came back and caught alot of fish and had more time maybe we would. That really made Joshua's day as well as Brian and me. Below is a quick clip of his fishing adventure!

Today I have been reading Psalms and I came across this verse in Psalms 138
8 The LORD will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me. NLT

There might be things going on in your life that you need to know God's plan in this situation. Just remember that he will work out his plan in your life. Just keep in faith and trust in God. He knows what is going on and has never left you. Sometimes we can focus on the things we don't like that go on in our lives instead of the god things going on. Focus on the light and not the dark corner in your life. Pray and meditate on the word of God and that dark corner will get light. Think up and not down. You can make it through whatever is going on.

"Only God can send the rain but only you can dig a ditch." Steven Furtick

I was listening to Steven Furtick this morning. He was speaking at Faith Church St. Louis. God can make a way for us but we have to do the work. Today it is simple you have to do for God to do in your life. As you go through the day keep that in mind and keep God on your mind in all you do.
